I would've provided the wild encounter screen but I didn't think its stats were unusual until after I caught it and realized it took XLs. The only other wild legendary I caught was a ~lv33 Raikou.
I will admit that this is limited in confirmation, but this would seem like a really weird and dumb thing to fake when its IVs are nothing special and legendary XLs are valuable. It's just something I noticed when going through my catches today.
It was weather-boosted (Windy) and off Incense.
This is, more than anything, me asking the question: did anyone else find wild legendaries at unusual levels today? I'm very curious if this can be corroborated or if this was some inexplicable happening on my part.
Edit: Looks like this may possibly be only for Kanto birds, as there's confirmation of others of the three species that were caught at lv41+! I wasn't aware this was in effect for the weekend as well, but it looks like this is an established occurrence. 🙂

From someone who once caught a hundo level 35 shiny: I’m impressed !!
I caught a level 47 Zapdos today off the incense and it was weather boosted.
Weather boosted legendaries are up to lvl 35 this weekend and just Kanto birds are weather boosted up to lvl 50 the whole week and weekend.
