Turns out all the spawns that they said we would get are not really appearing as much as we would have liked and as far as the legendary Pokemon they run away with about a 99% rate. What the hell is the point of this?

I got a regi gigas and reshiram both 0* after about 30 encounters
I caught ONE RAYQUAZA. That's it. No shinies. Encountered a Suicune, Cresselia, Entei, a kyurem and a buncha shit.. got nothing. Didn't catch jack shit BESIDES BEING LUCKY with a Rayquaza

only got regice, suicune that have 2200 cp or LESS.
The only legendary I caught over the two days was 1 Zamazenta and my go-plus is what caught it

spend money on incense to try and catch pokemon with a 99% flee rate….0r…… just buy raid pass and catch them! Event was awful and not worth spending resources on at all # Worst Event Ever

For events like this, even for a legendary I'm not wasting an incense for a pokemon that's GUARANTEED to run after the first failed ball only to end up not getting any for the whole duration. Already happened before in the past even with golden razz/excellent throws.
Not even wasting a masterball for them since theyre at least plentiful from raids.
I caught like 2 after playing for nearly 6 hours yesterday, I wanted to play today but apparently the local cell tower is down and pokemon go wont run, it kinda loads but freezes as soon as I click on anything, and it wont let me Hotspot my other phone either so guess I cant even try…maybe I should be thankful

I didnt loose any legendaries. Even after they jumped out of the ball I got 2 or 3 tries

I have to agree with you. They set the game against you. I’m not sure why they did it. They all ran away on me except for one and that’s actually a sad thing when you’re out there trying hard making an effort.
