This is the first piece from a project where I create digital Poké Lids based on real locations in Utrecht (Netherlands). I love the official Japanese Poké Lids, so I wanted to imagine how they might look here by mixing Pokémon with local architecture and bits of folklore.
This one is based on the Inktpot, a building with a UFO sculpture on top. I turned it into a “Poké Deksel” (“deksel” = Dutch for “lid”) featuring Smeargle, Cosmog, and some Zubats/Golbats inspired by the name (Inktpot = Inkwell), the UFO, and the large population of bats that apparently live in the building. Curious what y'all think of it!
