I recommend downloading the Dragon Quest Builders 2 demo and seeing what you think. It was made by the same developer as Pokopia (Omega Force) and as someone who has played and enjoyed both, I think this demo would answer a lot of people's questions on whether they would enjoy Pokopia. There are of course a ton of differences (lack of combat, habitats, graphics), but the building mechanics and core gameplay loop are very similar.
