My friend is fairly new to the game and mostly f2p. We spent a few hours out of each day chasing anything interesting that showed up as unregistered on the nearby.
It includes raids with the daily pass and the free path of the event pass. Nothing new was gotten is evolution, though I suspect the double candy means there's a lot she can evil.
All in all, pretty productive!
