Pixel 10 Pro, version 0.403.0
I believe this is a known issue with the Pixel and its phone specific. Previously I only had this with gold gym boxes but now it's spreading and there's black boxes all over gameplay.
Anyone else having this and/or have a fix for it?
Edit, trying to compile date:
- Multiple reports on P10. Motorola Play 2. Redmi 15C and Samsung A20. S25 Ultra, Moto G 5G.
- P9 pro and P8 reported to not have the issue. Also iPhone SE – it seems not to occur on iOS in general.
- Has appeared as in the screenshots above, in lieu of the blue glow around new pokemon and the interaction glow around friends, as gold gym badges. I'm seeing it in route menus – when selecting new routes and completing them. Berries and balls when catching. Pass bonuses.
- Placement is not the same for all players. I've had it consistent until today, other players report it moves around.

Attempted fixes
- Re-installing temporarily fixed it, but downloading assets made it reappear. I downloaded assets after the screenshots above and it didn't impact things.
- Turning advanced settings on and off (with restarts in between) switched where the black boxes appeared, but otherwise didn't impact things.
