To be fair, their initial tweet that caused the confusion specifically mentioned Precious Paths (which was last season), but most of the people reading it incorrectly assumed they were referring to this season. Which isn’t necessarily a bad assumption considering the apology for last season was about 3 months too late.
But their follow-up tweet confirming they were referring to last season pretty much cleared everything up. So I wouldn’t say there were mixed messages necessarily. Just a poorly timed post and a lot of incorrect assumptions from people. A bunch of people already posted proof of the elite TM from this season in other threads and in the comments on the initial tweet.
