I’m so confused why Donkey Kong Bananza is suddenly popping up everywhere again. I swear I’ve seen like 10 separate articles about it AND Beta 64 made a video on it. Like… ? It’s just really strange the timing of all this. I love it, don’t get me wrong. It’s just a bit odd.

Put that zebra song in every game and I’ll be set.

Hasn’t new, fresh gameplay objectives consistently been what Nintendo studios pursue?

I really love Bananza but I hope this doesn’t take away from more linear experiences. I feel like bananzas approach to you can break anything was really cool for one game but my favorite moments where the dances at the end where it is very much having to do tight platforming

I think Bananza is prime for a Super Mario Galaxy 2 style sequel. Make more of the same but refine it and make it tougher (Also add underwater mechanics and a Swordfish Bananza please) before they move on from the breaking terrain mechanics as a whole.
Inb4 the next game is Donkey Kong Bananza 2: Diddy’s Kong Quest where we control Diddy and Dixie /s

I wish I could play this game but it kept giving me motion sickness. Anyone else?

Bananza was a funny one. Enjoyed it very much for the first few hours but I think the novelty wore off a bit after that and I really had to push myself to finish it

I might be the odd one out but i actually had more fun with bananza than odyssey. I hope we get a sequel eventually

I just want a new Wario platformer. It’s been nearly 20 years since his last solo adventure (Shake It for Wii in 2008). He could absolutely make use of some of the ideas presented here what with going after treasure and breaking things.
That and Captain Syrup deserves her own Pauline-style comeback to the franchise as a mainstay character. Syrup is the first female main villain of the Mario franchise and would add some nice variety in spinoffs.

Excuse me. The ”next big project“ better be a mainline Zelda or mario game that’s already been in production for several years.
