I didn't like most regular Pokémon fanfics i've read. Most of them were boring or had premises i dislike.
However, PMD fanfics were so more interesting. Each one tries to make a whole lot of worldbuilding with their own twists with the canon concepts of PMD (like Dungeons and Guilds). I've seen at least two that had a "Church of Arceus". And many other interesting concepts. The cool stuff.
I just don't like when it gets way too gritty. I don't mind some darkness, but i cannot associate Pokémon with Dark Fantasy in any way, shape or form. Also +18 content. Ew
Anyway, my point is: Do you know why that happens? Do you share this opinion? And i alone in this one?
