I decided to go to the Chicago one since there will be the Pokemon Fossil Museum happening simultaneously. Also my flight and hotel are free since I’m using points but if I was paying money and there was no Fossil museum I would be hesitant to go because I don’t trust Niantic.

Me and the crew I run with we got tickets for Chicago.. for three out of the five days we was able to get Friday half a day on Saturday park all day Sunday city with raid and hatch experience. It was almost $350 per person… it would not let us schedule more than that

This is why I spoof you know the spoof for community pretty much overwhelmed the players that play legit. This is why we don’t get banned. It’s because Niantic will lose literally half or more than half of the communities that exist because spoolers are the ones that are dominating stop fucking playing legit play spoofing play free and trust me. It’s so much worth it. You walk up to the gym green passes are cheap. If you play free you save up coins you get free passes. They got bundles sometimes six passes for the price of three you know you get good pricing you can save them up and get a jumbo box for 4500 and coins for about 100 passes like come on man pay for free stop giving these guys money. I promise you this shit will change. They will literally be like. Oh no, no no no this is crazy. Nobody’s playing a jet. It’s just woofers. They’ll probably shut it down and then tell us OK. We’ll make spoofing a thing. You just gotta play a premium to spoof, which I don’t mind and I think a lot of people wouldn’t mind paying a premium to spoof from home because they won’t shut the game down if they’re spending money trust me it’s puffers are spending more money than you guys which we are. They’re not gonna just say no to it. There’s no way they can’t give up money.

Honestly, only reason I would go to an in-person not near me is to an LA event since I know there are a few people from Arizona who I am in game friends with that I would like to meet… otherwise, I am satisfied with the local "where you are" ones…
Yeah you know what I get that I I'm counting my blessings though cuz I live in Chicago so like I wanted Saturday by the time I could get to it all that was left with Sunday the last 4 hours so I mean it's not that big of a deal for me but I man for other people man it sucks that's crazy where have you already bought your plane tickets and shit like you got to fix all that shit that's a pain in the ass me I live here so it ain't nothing I going to do Thursday Friday Saturday in the city like like normal and then Sunday I'm going to go do Grant Park I could I could have did it any day it didn't matter cuz you know I live here but that's crazy
No they told me they could only refund me for my tickets and if I want a different day I'd have to repurchase tickets for the day I initially wanted. But I won't get my money back for the tickets for like 2 weeks so kinda screwed with the day I was given not chose
Adding to @poke_ak's statements, these screw ups not only mess with your money but also your personal time and piling on stress. Most people have limited PTO/paid vacation days a year or need to request time off. It's one of the most precious resources we have that doesn't come back. I feel for the players in that anxiety-induced limbo state – do they try to change plane ticket and hotel accommodation dates or hold with the originals? That stress would make a normal person sick.
After going to a few in-person events, I can say that the global ones that take place a week after always feel more rewarding than spending money traveling and buying all the additional bonuses
In the past decade has there been a single Pokemon go event that didn't have major problems like this.
When I was a spoofer I would do the asian, european, and a North American Community Days and have no problems. I did a couple Safari zones I remember there was one in Brazil and I think one in Germany. I played a bunch of what I called secret events that were only for certain cities, the majority of them being in Japan. I played an exclusive event in Australia and a couple in france, denmark, and Germany.
When I was spoofing from my house in Pennsylvania, I never had any problems at all whatsoever with these events. Shinies worked, the Pokémon spawns that were supposed to, the raids worked properly.
That go Fest in Chicago 2019 I spoofed that too.
It's so ridiculous that you actually pay money to travel and you're in the real location and it doesn't work right and spoofers are just playing from their home and everything works correctly
Only in-person event I've gone to was Sydney Safari and that's only cause I'm an hour train ride away 👍

For me it is nothing! Some Pokemon Go players have different view for this. DO YOU WANT SHINY POKEMON WITH SHINY SPECIAL BACKGROUND?!
Compare Scopely debut new Pokemon or new shiny Pokemon i feel much more interested for it.
I actually live in Japan, and like most players, I put an alarm for 545 am to buy these tickets, in anticipation of them dropping them at 5pm EST. I was so confused fused when I saw the times, that I was hesitant on buying them. Knowing the history of PoGo, i knew something was wrong. It wasnt until around 615ish am when it was fixed. A lot of my friends gambled and bought the tickets with the wrong times. Hopefully they get a free City day or a code they can use when they want to actually go to the park.
We all need to come together and stop spending on this game for like 3 months. Make them feel the pain and more willing to listen to customers.
We bought 3 tickets for my sons birthday he wanted to go he’s 14… we don’t have extra money to waste saved for a year for all that goes into it…on my bank statement it came up 5 tickets!!! and 2 were on the right day n 3 were on wrong day!!! And I can’t get a straight answer!!! Long time follower. Started Pokemon go 2nd day of release. As a line cook, I love the analogy. Niantic/Scopley bearly respond to tickets let alone refunds. Though chefs/cooks refer to management to make sure the remake is feasible. Customer is always right in our hospitality jobs. Niantic/Scopley,, don’t review the customer, don’t relay the message to the cook, and don’t give a refund or remake at all most of the time. They don’t give a f most of the time..
Honestly not been a victim of this yet, but I’m constantly scared. I have traded with quite a few spoofers. Logged in while my Boss was in Greece, and I caught Pokémon in Canada in the time frame (was my first ban mark)😢, and I use the duomon dual catcher (as u recommended). Other than that first ban all good. But stay aware everyone of their rules of agreement. We’re almost 10 years in 🎉❤😮. 😢😂 idk what’s going on in their labs lol.

Number 2 Why would you be worried about this? There is city time and there is park time. If it gets reversed what does it matter? You will do both either way. A preference is nothing more than a preference.
And when you’re in Japan for 8 days plus, you’re gonna be doing a whole heck of a lot regardless of when your ticket is for, so as long as your ticket works you’re fine.
Remember. Scopely bought the gaming side but they did not replace the idiot employees.
