Found a shop outside of my city. This Dragonite was one of the few raw JP vintage they had.
Asked for a price. Dude takes a few minutes, then hands it over: ”$100”.
My eyebrow shoots up as the back was trash (wish I’d taken pics). I’m like, ”$100?”
He goes, “Yeah, best I can do is $80.”
“Market’s averaging $60, especially in this condition.”
“Ah, fair play,” and he shelves it without missing a beat.
Thankfully I live in a general area where I hit 1-2 card shows a month. LCS are straight window shopping these days—even for sealed products. I can wait for shows and pay cash with no tax.
