Google maps tends to act like a time capsule since the street view mode can only have images from a certain date point. I loved how i get to see how much my city has changed because of it
the worst part is, i do wish it was free like you said, but the atrocious prices on some stuff that used to be free like raid passes and stuff and the bunch of paid stuff makes it even worse
I lived and worked on a military base when pokemon go came out and the app actually got banned on base. I thought it was so ridiculous but it was a huge security concern at the time.
That’s why the “I quit social media” proud people are so stupid because youtube is a free social media and their data is being grabbed by another app they use. You’re not protecting yourself by not using snapchat, instagram or any other social platform. Have a phone and internet and it’s enough.

I don't necessarily see this as bad. Ai IS bad, but Niantic isn't really doing anything with it outside training Ai, which is like.. okay? People complaining about this should have read ToS, or just googled it. Anyone complaining about "oh this shows that many people will work for free if its fun!" Pokémon go gave many benefits such as exercise, joy, and meeting up with people. You clearly never went outside and experienced the joy of finding a rare Pokémon.
I still remember one saudi tech guy that was talking about how they are using you in pokemon go to get images around the world for free and everyone was making fun of him
