I don’t like how they don’t want to have less weekly events.
I’m hoping that the reception is bad so we can get more events

If they are going to be doing less events and having more weeks like this, then seasonal spawns and research going forward need to be better. I know the more casual crowd will like this as there's more time to rest and put the game down. But almost a whole week of nothing going on isn't great either.
Hallelujah, I do have a life besides pogo and it shouldn't feel like a part- time job.
I think it's fine to have the occasional week without events. Give a chance to breathe for regular players and take a break. Also normal spawns are kinda nice for a change.
No event week means there will be a week where their revenue drops drastically, so I can't see this change staying.

Pokémon GO is changing
They are slowly killing the game, with the new shiny rates and now no events.
With the Monday bonus I was able to finish the pass and get a Shedinja. I look forward to a week to relax
I understand your take on it. It makes sense and I feel for you. that being said, I enjoy a week here and there without an event so that I can focus on the season spawns.
Makes it so easy to center grinds around regieleki raiding. There's not gonna be any event 3* & 1* raids diluting it. Love the timing here

Finally a break!! As a community leader it’s really nice to have a break to gather myself and spend more time with family.
Too much event and I'm really tired, and finally I can take a break from those madness, or maybe only an hour as a minimum for playing this game.
I don’t think they’re done with weekly events. I think they’re just giving people breaks and more time to prepare for other big events which I appreciate.
