Water is definitely the easiest monotype in gen 1. Props to vaporeon and gyarados (who did not make the final team) they were very clutch early on.
Grinding kabutops from lvl 5 was kind of brutal, but worth it
Weirdly enough the toughest opponents I had were heracross and alakazam in the rival championship rematch. His full heal spamming was probably the biggest offender tho.
