Can you try machamp(or haryama) talonflame and turtuwig(or bulbasaur)
You won bc of 1 turn lag when they brought their gougeist in. They should've had 3 incinerates when you threw the flame charge and got their shadow ball off. Probably would've been safer just to throw another brave bird after 3
