Need advice for an art project: Which Pokemon do you think would best represents the Warrior of Light and Garland from Final Fantasy 1?

I’ve been doing little art projects depicting Pokemon cosplaying as other video game characters. In this instance I want to draw two Pokemon squaring off against each other as the Warrior of Light and Garland from FF1. I don’t know which ones who fit the roles/outfits of the characters the best, so thought that asking the community would be the fastest and easiest way of getting insight.
