You’ve been transported into a new region called Donram. In this region there are 8 Gym Leaders, an Elite 4, Champion and Battle Facilities. All of these trainers are completely at random, you don’t know anything about them going into it. For this league journey you are only allowed 8 Pokemon in total and they can only be from the starter Pokemon lines.

*Starters/First Partner Pokemon only as seen above. You can train them to whatever level or evolution you want.
*These will be your only 8 Pokemon from your first gym battle to your final bout in the Battle Facility and Champion.

I think theres a decent type diversity there, and I think having multiple mega options in charizard and swampert would be good.
Could be tempted to go alolan raichu, but light ball could be useful as well.
Would have to pick the eeveelution based on what is lacking on the team once I start using it tbh

Another water type with a better typing could help – so maybe Piplup or Froakie? I wouldn’t mind a fire/fighting for coverage so perhaps Torchic or Tepig? Maybe one of Gen 9 starters for the sake of broken abilities? Do I aim for a tank? Do I minimize weakness?

Mudkip: Swampert has amazing type coverage and is a bulky power house. I think it’s mega makes it especially decent.
Litten: intimidate incineroar with fake out, parting shot, U turn, etc.
Rowlet: I feel like decidueye would have a lot of good defensive coverage against the fire fighting starters because of its ghost typing.
Pikachu: Raichu with a timid nature, nuzzle, and maybe grass knot would be a good call.
Charmander: ok with how many handouts Charizard gets I think it’s a safe call. Megas, gigantamax, etc
Bulbasaur: Venusaur has a lot of good stall moves like leech seed and poison powder.
