Pokemon Go

Is there any reason to keep pre-2020 Pokémon once you’ve hit the 45 lucky trade cap?

I’m struggling to see the point in holding onto pre-2020 Pokémon once you’ve maxed out your 45 lucky trades.

The only reasons I can think of:

– Sitting on them in case the cap gets raised again

– Trading them with friends who haven’t hit the limit yet

Am I missing something?

Correct me if I’m wrong but I believe the older a pokemon is the more likely it is to go lucky.

In general: pokemon pre 2020 still have 25% lucky odds versus the standard 5%.

So while not guaranteed, it can still improve the odds.

Older pokemon have a higher chance of being lucky. Not sure on the number though.

  4. Well yeah because it wasn’t always 45 it was 35 and before that it was 25

  5. I think the cap gets raised at the end of every year

Idk I was told 2016 Pokémon are guaranteed lucky trade & this has been true for me 100% of the time so far.

I did 40 trades with pre-2020 all were lucky. So I would say 100%

Just checked and I have 59 Lucky pokemon.  Where are you reading about a cap?

well the cap goes up by ten every year.

  11. As a huge Pika fan, I would love to trade a costume pika from 2020 and before, the fragment black cap especially. Should any of my lucky far distant friends offer one, I would trade a legendary for it. Started Sept2020 only.

When they increase the cap you can use your old Pokemon for example 2020 or older again to hit a guranteed lucky trade. Or a 2021 one but ofc after the new cap increase in 2027.

They increase the cap every year or so

You already said it, when the caps raises again; they will be useful.

But also… let’s not forget that they also age and get more valuable with time. Ok, not all, but certain old mons they go expensive on the market.

I’m struggling to see the point of deleting them actually; They take space, but is something which will never return. A mon with a certain time stamp will never return. Don’t you see this as valuable?

Nostalgia. I love having older Pokemon. It’s crazy to think that a handful will turn 10 this year.

I traded some 2019 ones a couple of years ago to my girlfriend and we actually got a good rate of lucky trades. Try to save them for a random legendary or something that you really want you never know when luck’s gonna come to you

I’m amazed that people can keep track of a stat like this

De toute façon le plafond est augmenté de 10 tous les mois de janvier donc autant les garder
