Pokemon Trading Card Game

COMPLETED SWSH ALT ART MASTER SET

I have been on a mission since last September to collect every Alt art, Trainer gallery, and galarain gallery from SWSH.

The journey, despite running into both major and minor issues along the way, was much shorter than I originally anticipated. Although it was still a lot of fun. The 2 biggest benefits I got from this was that 1. this definitely sparked my want to collect again after stopping back during the pandemic. 2. collecting also became a large part of the relationship between my wife and I, and definitely has brought us closer with something to bond/geek out over. So now that Im past the sappy stuff, more on the collection/collecting process.

All cards are English language, NM condition. The GG/TG collection only includes cards that are pokemon (no trainers) and only the textured black/silver border cards (no yellow border), and also includes all promos.

Majority of cards (I would say about 75 percent) were either bought at card shows or locally through an online markeptplace. While most of the cheaper cards that are harder to find at card shows/locally I ended up purchasing through Ebay/TCGplayer. I would say it was extremely beneficial to purchase at card shows/locally since Most sellers are usually willing to work with you on prices.

I get a lot of compliments from vendors at shows about the binder, but the biggest thing I always hear is how I should have this in a toploader binder. I actually originally started with a toploader binder but about 3/4 the way through I realized just how heavy and bulky the binder is getting. So I decided instead of carrying 146 cards AND 146 Toploaders, I would just be more careful with my binder. To be honest, I also think it also looks a lot cleaner in a regular binder

So now the next step is to convert this collection from a SWSH alt art master set to just an alt art master set by adding the Tag team Alt art and Promos to it, which you can see the start of in the final picture. Looking forward to the completion of this collection.
