Hi – wanted to yap about Mimikyu as I think its worth grinding during this event! Regular battle shoutcasts will resume tomorrow 🙂
Can’t say I’m a huge fan of this mechanic. It pushes mechanics that have unbalance even further into the wring direction. Cheap spammy charge moves have been overtuned for a long time now, those are ALWAYS favored over nuke moves that need a buff. It also promotes fast move pressure as it’s counter. Less of a problem nowadays as opposed to seasons past but our champ Wigglytuff gets another shadow buff if this thing becomes popular. Finally due to it being low HP, it promotes 1 turn fast moves, which have always been the best. I like that we have Pokémon that coming into the game that offer a new mechanic and are interesting, I just don’t think this is the best for the balance of the game overall.
So if it gets hit by a brick break or sand tomb then its – 2 def remember the strategy

I hope the 1 defense stage drop is gonna be enough to keep this in check because with a busted typing (just 2 weaknesses) and essentially a 3rd shield it looks very strong. Its gonna be weird however if you play against a Lickilicky/Corv and they throw a Body Slam or Air Cutter at you and you really dont want to shield that but if you dont, you go to -1 defense for the rest of the battle so it actually might be worth to shield. Mindgames galore
i already got ul rank1 while tradeing for a btter greatleague with low friendship since wild has been pretty cursed xd plus i think it would be best a sweeper in any team since it take toomuch dmg and swapping doesnt remove defence debuff on it
In main series, Mimikyu was so strong that GameFreak itself nerfed it. When the disguise was busted, it originally did no damage to Mimikyu, allowing you do use Focus Sash to live two of any hit and then need a third hit for the knockout. Combine that with three immunities and a typing where it's a Ghost that beats Darks.. yeah.
They fixed it so the disguise being busted dealt chip damage to it. It's likely that we need a nerf for it in GO too, in it's current state it's busted – pun intended.

For UL you want Rank 2 or 7 because of CMP Tie (Rank 7) in the Mirror and for the Corvinight Sand Attack Bulkpoint (Both)
I got a 14/14/14 rank 11 so far!
I got handed high rank Mimikyus on a silver platter. One of the first catches during spotlight hour was rank 9 already at 1497 cp, and yesterday I traded with my gf and we both got lucky 12/14/15, which is rank 1 best buddied in UL. I grinded all the XLs too so I'm good to go whenever the ban is lifted. I still think it will be a lot better in GL, as everything is so bulky in UL and it's charged attacks aren't very efficient. Shadow ball and dazzling gleam would be a huge improvment

Why would they add mimikyu to the game when it’s not even allowed in pvp? If u want add a Pokémon at least add fully and not half way like you add and we can catch but we can’t use it when it releases but when morpeko or aegislash release at least it can be use straight away but mimikyu until now it’s still banned

Gonna run morpeko, mimikyu and aegislash to burn up the game clock with form change animations
so u can just quickly throw a resisted body slam right away at it and now it's debuffed forever nice lol

More than form change it just straight up ability which make it so broken. Since 99,99% pokemons in go dont have their ability and lot pokemons its not their stats what make pokemon great in competive, its their ability. Like example if medi and azu get their ability to double attack stats. would be total broken ones
I battled with team go rocket with this pokemon only once ,😅
