Pokemon Go

Apparently my wife put this Pokémon in a gym 56 years ago…

By what I assume is no coincidence, this Orocorio went i to the gym on January 1st, 1970…

It’s no longer listed there, but it’s the longest time Ive seen, and probably the longest before 2038 rolls in…

Jan 1, 1970 is the unix epoch. I bet Pogo uses a unix timestamp to calculate time in a gym by just taking the difference in seconds between current timestamp and when the mon was placed in the gym, and somehow the placement timestamp either got corrupted, set to 0, or maybe they use a default value of zero when they can’t fetch the mon’s placement timestamp within a certain amount of time.

Someone knock Oricorio out. His watch has ended

you mean you dont have a pokemon that’s spent 46 years in isolation?

Oricorio and the gym got too close to the gargantua blackhole and experienced time dilation. Only Dialga can fix this.

56 years in a gym, and it’ll still only have managed to scrounge together 50 coins.
