Regional rodents for my Pokemon Sea & Sky project! Meeklag is a pink, hairless mouse that anchors rocky mud into its wrinkles for camouflage and defense. its Mudwash ability would cause it to change into its Squeaky-Clean form in rain or when hit by a water move. It can only evolve while in Muddy forme, and becomes Steadfrost, with its mud freezing over into sturdier armor.
This line was based on the african spiny mouse, a real weird animal with loosely attached skin. If a predator tries grabbing it, the grabbed skin just sloughs off. This is a little less gory though.
