Rock Wrecker’s stats have been datamined in Pokemon GO! We now know just how powerful the Community Day Rhyperior will be. For raids, Rock Wrecker is a slightly slower version of Blast Burn, making it effectively slightly better than Shadow Ball. This propels Rock Wrecker Rhyperior to the number 1 slot of all Rock-type attackers in Pokemon GO. For PvP, Rock Wrecker is a perfect clone of Blast Burn, meaning that it is one heck of a boss Charge Move. With the improved speed and power of Rock Wrecker over Stone Edge, Rhyperior is now a top threat in the Master League.
Between being a boss in raids, the master league, and rocket battles, there’s little reason to hunt down a 100% Rhyperior and max it out! Of course, Niantic could turn around and nerf it. However, the move is balanced enough on Rhyperior to the point where I don’t think it needs nerfing. It’s really the slight push Rhyperior needed to gain relevancy.
