Time Trial Event Round 3 Ultra Hard
Guide on getting S Rank (i.e. beating the stage within 2 minutes)
Strategy in nutshell:
For team composition, you want to get a flying unit as striker, particularly works the best if you have Blue and Pidgeot or Nate and Braviary. Since I am passing Nate’s banner, I am clearing this event with Pidgeot.
For the 1st support unit, you want to have buff that can help increase Pidgeot’s damage output. For this case I am using Rosa and Serperior for the sake of F2P friendly. But I personally prefer SS Elesa and Rotom because of its Breathtaking on reduce the sync countdown. You may however, use other support units such as Sabrina and Alakazam, MC and Torchic, etc so long it serves the purpose of contributing Pidgeot’s damage output.
For the 2nd support, you want to use unit that can improve your move gauge recoverability, i.e. speed buff or MG acceleration. Personally I prefer Skyla and Swanna because it is f2p friendly, however you may use SS Rosa and Delibird for its MG acceleration but that will eliminate your usage of Rosa and Serpeior.
For the first 9 moves before using the sync move, you want to focus on buffing the whole team to maximise Pidgeot’s damage output, as well as getting the maximum speed buff+6. Reset the match if you don’t get the necessary MG refresh.
After using the first sync move, you want to fight “like a noob”! Remember when we first started playing this game, we tend to spam moves just on a single unit instead of using the “3-1 moves queue” technique (you can refer my 3v9 guide Tip 2 for the detailed explanation). Basically you just want to spam Pidgeot’s Hurricane and slowly take out all the opponents. From this onwards, no more queueing move for Serperior and Swanna because that will only slowly down your overall battle duration, resulting in not getting S rank.
Make sure you are aware of how turn-skipping works, again you may refer my guide on Tip 5 (link below) for the detailed explanation. Because you want to ensure that you could aim the right opponent, take them out before they unleash their moves, in order to cut down unnecessary time wasted on the moves animation by the opponents.
