Notes about this strategy:
– This exact set up requires a bit of luck and input speed to execute. There are probably better scripts for this exact team but in this video, it was my first success so I decided to post it.
– You want to basically use all the relevant buffs. The Sunny Side Up! MP refresh, I think, is extremely important to the run because you get some extra buffs as well as a charge towards the sync move (I reset if I didn’t get a Sunny Side Up! MP refresh).
– Before your first sync move, you want to trigger the Beak Blast instead of going straight for the sync move. This makes it so that the damage and the next sync move are perfect for the run.
– Immediately after the first sync move, you want to try to get a Hurricane in before the enemy has a chance to use a move. This saves you a few seconds which is just enough to hit sub 2 minutes. If you don’t get the Hurricane in, I found that you get over 2 minutes.
– When charging for the second sync move, you want to not be greedy with the Beak Blast. You want to time the attacks where the Hurricanes will kill the Leavanny just as the sync move readies, so you can immediately use the Toucannon’s sync move as the finisher.
This was my run of the Speed Challenge to get the blue medal. When testing what units I could use to get under 2 minutes, I wanted to see if there were any combinations of sync pairs that could work with what I already had upgraded (I wasn’t going to invest gems or 5* upgrade tickets to get this medal, so I didn’t want to scout for Nate or more Blues). Since my Blue was only 1/5, I was unsure if I had enough firepower to get under 2 minutes. But when I was just trying to get the points, my Kahili, Blue, and Skyla team got 2:30 minutes very convincingly. As a result, I wanted to see if I could get sub 2 minutes with Kahili, Blue, and a good support unit (I had tried the SRR team which sucked, and I tried using only Blue, which also sucked). I needed a support unit that can buff critical rates (more damage for Kahili and Blue), buff attack (more damage for Kahili), buff special attack (more damage for Blue), and speed up the move gauge (using Hurricanes and Beak Blast together costed a lot). So I thought the perfect unit would be Lyra and Meganium, since she did literally everything I wanted a unit to do. So then I started testing this composition and got around 2 minutes 5 seconds many times. I finally came up with a script that would save me the most time and what do you know, I actually got under 2 minutes with a 1/5 Blue. A big side note, my Lyra being 4/5 was very good because of the extra critical rate increase from Critical Squad. In theory, you only really need a 1/5 Lyra because the most important thing is the Sunny Side Up! MP Refresh and having 2+ critical rate can still yield the same damage, but you just have to be a bit luckier.
I decided to make this video because I felt that this set up is fairly easy to obtain and is accessible to many players. You really only need a single copy of Blue and a single copy of Lyra, which are both old units that you probably stumbled upon when scouting other sync pairs. I saw many posts of people using Sygna Suit Elesa, 2/5 Blue, 3/5 Blue, or even 6* Blue (I have none of these). Of course, if you have a cracked Blue or even if you have Nate, getting under 2 minutes probably isn’t too hard. But I think that using just what I had (a 1/5 Blue), my results were pretty impressive and hopefully can help other players.
Thanks for watching!
