Type advantages were friendlier this week, which enabled me to go for some 2v3s.
Koga, Bruno, and Karen are reset heavy, while Will and Lance were relatively easy.
Will – 0:00
Koga – 2:48
Bruno – 4:29
Karen – 6:59
Lance – 9:43
1) Will
SS Leaf (3/5) / Swanna (5/5, 4/20)
Needs a bit of Potion Refresh, but shouldn’t be too bad. Exeggutor does a lot of damage, but also goes down very quickly to Poison. SS Leaf destroys this stage.
Grids: Swanna goes for the standard healing build. SS Leaf goes for Potion and Toxic Power.
Parameters: give them HP buffs and defensive buffs, since we will be toxic stalling.
2) Koga
Charizard (3/5, 6EX) / Rapidash
I decided to finally EX my Charizard, and it certainly helps with this clear. It’s possible to win without EX, but it’s a pain in the ass and really inconsistent. This battle is still a coin flip though, you have to get lucky and hope he uses weaker moves like Electroweb. Also, you really want the sync to crit as many of them as possible.
Grid: Solar Flare / Speeding Sun / Rejuvenate / Sync Nodes
Parameters: give them attack buffs
3) Bruno
Sceptile (5/5, 0/20) / Blastoise (6EX)
Needs a bit of luck. Sceptile has to have endurance up after killing off the Onix.
Grid: Sceptile goes for Amped Up / Inertia / Ramming Speed / Leaf Storm accuracy. Blastoise goes for the usual healing / defensive tiles.
Parameters: give them mostly attack buffs, a few HP buffs.
4) Karen
Lycanroc Olivia (5/5, 10/20) / Lycanroc (3/5, 0/20)
If Palossand is alive after killing center, you will probably win. Just have to get some flinches going.
Grid: Olivia goes for Amped Up 2 / Inertia / Stone Edge Refresh and Power. Kukui goes for Accelerock Power and Accelerock Aggravation.
Parameters: give them attack buffs
5) Lance
Metagross (6EX) / Samurott
Samurott allows us to reach max attack quickly, and also provides that crucial speed support for Metagross. He’s expected to die to Giga Impact, but by then we already took out the sides with Steven’s sync, and as long as we get one Iron Head flinch, we should be able to outpower the Aerodactyl.
Grid: Iron Head Aggravation, Eagle Eye
Parameters: Give them Attack buffs, we will be taking them out fast anyways. The non-master mode parameter I chose was the faster sync one, so I could get Mega faster.
