I tried this battle mainly to test out how good it would be to debuff an opponent’s defense because I’m trying to decide whether or not I’m scouting for Valentine Dawn on Monday. In this game where most enemies have some degree of lessen debuff skills, trying to debuff an enemy doesn’t sound like a strategy that is worth the time put into it. Like in this case, Lance has Trained Body 5. I wonder if that means When I lower 1 stage of his defenses, I actually only lowered 0.5 stage. But nonetheless I tried this. I did a battle without using Leer and one with. The different in damage is visible but is it worth the team slot and time put into it? I have chosen this battle because Iris is self sufficient enough to have all the buffs she needs in her own kit, hence freeing up a slot for a dedicated debuffer. Good news is that Lycanroc here and Alcremie does support the team in other ways. I have more testing to do with other less self sufficient strikers I guess.
