Champion Stadium – Unova Challenge Week 33
(19 April 2021 – 25 April 2021)
As usual, a rather more f2p friendly options against Master Mode, scoring 7,500 points as a whole. Again, just want to clarify that my definition of f2p units include all story units, legendary event units, and all 3*/4* gacha units. I believe with few months of playing without paying a single penny, you should be able to get all these units easily.
Here’s some notes when using these teams against the matches:
Caitlin (Dark Weakness)
A rather straight forward stall strategy, nothing extraordinary.
Grimsley (Bug Weakness)
Gosh this depends so much on RNG that it took me many tries. If you want to use stall as well, make sure this is also your 2nd battle due to better parameter for status conditions. Plus make sure your tank has some form of Defensive buff to the team (bonus if can heal).
Shauntal (Water Weakness)
Made a mistake here, you should play against Shauntal at your 4th match (with Parameter – Use sync move quickly against all opponents) because you will have max Sp Defense by the time Xerneas Syncs to defend better against Shauntal. Other than that everything is as per video.
Marshal (Psychic Weakness)
You should play this at your 3rd match because you want to take advantage of Mewtwo’s high DPS to finish the middle opponent before it syncs. Otherwise you will have to struggle a bit like me to land some damage to the side opponents first, so that I won’t get too much hits from Rock Slides in the end. And yes Wide Guard is super useful against those nasty Rock Slides.
Iris (Fighting Weakness)
Initially I used Medicham instead of Starmie, gambled that opponents are mainly physical strikers. So yea I got it wrong and have to switch out to Starmie for the additional Sp Defense buff.
