So! Another week of Kanto Champion Stadium. Conveniently having a stage weak to fighting type for me to show off Bea. Don’t let that fool you… I only have a 1/5 Bea and it’s such a tough fight.
But we start with Lance. Gloria and Zacian appreciates the reduced sync move counter so I played this to the maximum and brought in Elesa and Rotom to capitalize on this parameter. Still needed a second sync move to completely wipe the enemy team but the efficiency was there. I normally hate this parameter, because the enemy would need only 3 moves to reach their first sync move and usually after that, their attacks gets ALOT stronger. But in this case it was beneficial so I can’t complain.
Second comes Bruno. I brought in Siebold and Octillery here to take advantage of the parameter of use moves with additional effects. This is the same team I put on display on my Master Mode Madness challenge with SPLgum. With full master mode options, Octillery was still able to deal 29k on it’s second sync move. I love basking in the glory of Octillery just deleting the enemy’s HP.
Lorelei was a tough fight… Her raising Lapras’s evasion evasion every time she’s hit, forced me to include Lillie and Clefairy into the team setup. And to make it worst, on her last move before using sync move, Lapras casts critical shield, so you effectively have to KO her within 5 of her moves, which is a daunting task. Lucky for me Bea and Sirfetch’d deal enough damage to achieve that.
The parameter of using stats lowering moves is just built for Agatha’s stage with Kyurem being around. We would lower Golbet’s offensive stats fully with Noble Roar and then Glaciate away. Swanna and Alakazam is the premium supports taking care of all other aspects, buffing, healing, tanking, all premium support stuff. More often than not, the AI will use a buffing move right after they use a sync move, so in these situations you can still take the “Sync buff up” option for master mode because you’ll have 1 additional round to deal the killing blow before the enemy starts nuking you down.
Fight against Blue was different. This week I didn’t felt like using a poison stall team. I wanted a regular poison DPS team, and my best poison type striker as of now is Plumeria and Salazzle. Not having a powerful single target attack really limits Salazzle’s options. But lucky for us, poison tic still does a hefty amount of the heavy lifting. I’m still not familiar with this sync pair but I shall get use to using them and explore more strategies. Lucy is here to apply poison with the support of the extra parameter, and Blastoise is here as a manager to ensure all operations runs smoothly.
