>The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles is a collection of the best Ace Attorney games yet with a top-notch cast, loads of thrilling cases, and oodles of extras. On top of all that, multiple new gameplay elements reinvigorate the standard formula both in and out of court.

[**Hardcore Gamer**](https://opencritic.com/outlet/23/hardcore-gamer) – [Kirstin Swalley](https://opencritic.com/critic/2545/kirstin-swalley) – [4.5 / 5](https://hardcoregamer.com/?post_type=post&p=407765)

>There are many titles like The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles which never get localized for more fans to enjoy, and although it took six years, it’s safe to say it was worth waiting for.

>A long lost tale of courtroom heroics and tribulations, The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles is finally available in English for the first time and well worth the six years long wait.

[**PlayStation Universe**](https://opencritic.com/outlet/39/playstation-universe) – [Neil Bolt](https://opencritic.com/critic/838/neil-bolt) – [8.5 / 10](https://www.psu.com/reviews/the-great-ace-attorney-chronicles-review-ps4/)

>A deliberately slow, and sometimes frustratingly patient, start aside, The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles revamps the Ace Attorney formula by injecting it with a take on Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s Great Detective stories that is recognizable, and yet oh-so-perfect for this series in how it changes it. If the Phoenix Wright games have lost a little of their luster for you, then this double header Victorian-era spinoff may well be worth investigating.

[**Press Start**](https://opencritic.com/outlet/491/press-start) – [James Mitchell](https://opencritic.com/critic/3659/james-mitchell) – [8.5 / 10](https://press-start.com.au/reviews/nintendo-switch/2021/07/26/the-great-ace-attorney-chronicles-review-no-objections-here/)

>The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles brings together two volumes of one magnificent story that no Ace Attorney fan should miss. The characters are fantastically kooky, the plot is as compelling as ever, and the writing is the series at its funniest. While there are some minor pacing issues with some of the cases, it’s a fantastic package for fans both new and old.

[**Attack of the Fanboy**](https://opencritic.com/outlet/116/attack-of-the-fanboy) – [Dean James](https://opencritic.com/critic/595/dean-james) – [4 / 5 stars](https://attackofthefanboy.com/reviews/the-great-ace-attorney-chronicles-review/)

>Like you would come to expect from the franchise, The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles features both classic detective and Ace Attorney series tropes and gameplay that come together around some very intriguing mysteries that will keep you busy for many hours across the interconnected story of the two games included in the collection.

>The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles reunites, at last for westerners, two very good games, probably among the best of the franchise. Capcom lets us discover exciting cases, brilliantly written, and some memorable characters. Not very difficult, but indeed very joyful. A must-have for fans and a maybe the best way to discover this amazing franchise.

[**Push Square**](https://opencritic.com/outlet/25/push-square) – [Stephen Tailby](https://opencritic.com/critic/942/stephen-tailby) – [8 / 10](http://www.pushsquare.com/reviews/ps4/great_ace_attorney_chronicles)

>The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles is, well, great Ace Attorney. The typical gameplay is embellished with some interesting new wrinkles, but it’s the cast of characters and compelling narrative that make this a worthy spin-off. The story told across the pair of games is intriguing, you’ll grow to love most of the characters, and there are some cracking, memorable cases to solve. This duo of games isn’t doing much to push the franchise forward, but it’s a very worthwhile adventure nonetheless. A great place to start for newcomers and a fascinating alternate story for fans, should you give this a shot? The answer is elementary.

>Two great titles that fans of the Phoenix Wright saga cannot miss, despite not being translated into spanish language. The adaptation to a desktop platform and a single screen has been done efficiently and without losing any characteristic feature of the franchise. Highly recommended to those who love visual novels and research, totally discouraged for those who do not know how to defend themselves well in English or Japanese.
