NOTE: For the sake of preventing confusion, ROM Hacks and Mods, in my humble opinion, can also count as Fan Games since they are made by fans of Nintendo!
I have been thinking about something that I would like to discuss!
You know how Nintendo has a completely spiteful hatred towards Fan-Games, even good ones? This includes, but is by no means limited to:
1. Pokemon Uranium
2. Another Metroid 2 Remake
3. No Mario Sky
4. Project M
5. Super Mario 64 HD
6. Zelda Editor
7. Ocarina Of Time 2D
8. Pokenet
9. Zelda 30 Tribute
And that’s not even taking into account of the numerous ROM Hacks of many old Nintendo games that offer many improvements that make them even better than before in their own ways!
If this is all true, then why hasn’t Nintendo taken down Super Mario Bros. Crossover and Abobo’s Big Adventure even up to now? Sure, Flash is no longer supported, but there still exists the SWF File for the former on their website:

And the latter is still available for play on its home website thanks to Ruffle (WARNING: THE FANGAME CONTAINS BLOOD):

And keep in mind that these games use actual sprites that are ripped from official Nintendo games!
Plus, Project M has been revived as Project+:

And Smash Remix, which is a ROM Hack of the original Super Smash Bros. on Nintendo 64, hasn’t been taken down yet either!

And don’t even get me started on all of those PETA games involving Mario and Pokemon which, unlike the ones that I have mentioned earlier, are completely horrible in more ways than one and yet they still exist on the PETA Website! If anything, PETA’s fangames should be taken down because, unlike the other fangames that are NOT made by PETA, they completely disrespect the legacy and dignity of Nintendo in all sorts of insultingly bad ways and should be considered real threats!
Of course, you can make the argument that these games are free and non-profit, but none of it matters during the grand scheme of things when it comes to Nintendo’s policies!
I would really appreciate it if anybody can help sort things out! I can’t help but find this incredibly confusing!
