PSA: Pre-Orders and Payment Information (UK Experience)



Hi Y’all,

I just wanted to give a quick PSA to those who shop on Nintendo Store UK. [https://store.nintendo.co.uk](https://store.nintendo.co.uk/)

If you Pre-Order anything from the online store and lose you bank card/original payment method or your card expires before your order has shipped – as what has happened to me. Customer Service DOES NOT have the ability to update your payment information. You will have to cancel your order and replace your order. However, if this is a limited Pre-Order and is no longer in stock. Your only option is to cancel and find another retailer.

With The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild 2 supposedly out next year, and many other titles you may personally be interested in. I don’t believe it is fair to experience a wait of months to only realise you’ve missed out due to a short fall in Nintendo UK’s online shop payment system. Something that the likes of The Hut Group (which their shop used to be served by) can and does facilitate.

tl;dr – Nintendo’s Online Store UK [https://store.nintendo.co.uk](https://store.nintendo.co.uk/) DOES NOT have the ability to amend payment information. Be sure your card is in date or won’t expire before release and even then, don’t lose it or be a victim of fraud, as if your card is cancelled you have no option but to cancel your order.
