The widely successful roguelike Dead Cells, an independent game, conquered the PC indie game landscape in 2017. In this game set on an island jail, the player controls an amorphous monster with the body of a headless corpse. Since its introduction, Dead Cells has had a lot of success, including surpassing significant sales milestones and being distributed on Android and iOS.
