Nintendo Russia has come out with two announcements today – the first being the Nintendo eShop price correction on Dec. 6th 2021, announcing that the prices for Nintendo-published games will be reduced, likely due to the strengthening of the national currency, and the second being the expansion of warranty for Switch consoles to 24 months, **making all Switch owners that bought their Switch consoles from December 1st 2019 onwards eligible for free drifting Joy-Con replacement.**
The full list of products that have received an extended warranty:
– Nintendo Switch console and all included accessories such as the Nintendo Switch docking station, Nintendo Switch power adapter and Joy-Con controllers;
– Nintendo Switch Lite console and the included Nintendo Switch power adapter;
– Nintendo Switch console – OLED model and all included accessories such as the Nintendo Switch docking station (with LAN port), Nintendo Switch power adapter and Joy-Con controllers;
– Nintendo Switch Joy-Con controllers (purchased separately);
– Nintendo Switch Pro Controller;
– Joy-Con recharging holder for Nintendo Switch;
– AA Battery Pack for the Joy-Con Controller;
– Nintendo Switch docking station and accessories;
– Adjustable stand for recharging the Nintendo Switch;
– amiibo figurines;
– amiibo cards.
– all Nintendo Switch software (cartridges), extended from 30 days to 24 months
The extended warranty is only applicable for the imported products sold by Nintendo Russia.
