I wanted to be able to travel with my switch and be able to play on a tv without carrying the bulky dock with me. So I started experimenting with the cables that went into the dock.
I got a USB C hub that has an HDMI port and a USB C port. I took the cables out of the back of the dock and plugged them into the hub, then I plugged the hub into the switch’s USB C port.
It’s worth noting that the switch will only output to a tv when power is connected. If I disconnect the USB C power cable, the signal stops.
