10:10 – Vs. Acerola: EX Yamper / EX Alolan Marowak / Snorlax
There’s no topping “Goodest Boy Wild Charge.” That’s the best sync move name DeNA could possibly make. And there’s no other Pokemon that deserves it than actual goodest boy Yamper. His trainer Sonia has great character development in her main games, and she’s a great support in this game to boot. Since I finally got them to 3/5 from my daily pulls, I EXed her and wanted to spotlight her.
I made sure to use Pasio’s Goodest Boy with a whole bunch of other good doggos in my roster. Here’s how each battle went, and the sync grids used:
Vs. Olivia: EX Yamper / Zamazenta / Lycanroc-Midday – https://pokemon-masters-stuff.github.io/#/team-builder/?id1=10001000000&e1=1&o1=738&g1=AAECAwQFBgcKDRESExQjJCYoKy0=&s1=5&id2=10244000000&e2=1&o2=738&g2=AAECAwQFBggJCgwNDxobHB4hJiwuLw==&s2=5&id3=10259000000&e3=0&o3=750&g3=AAECAwQFERMWGhscHyEkJikrLQ==&s3=3
Is it really a surprise that Hop and Sonia work well together? Both of their doggos are up there as the game’s best supports, and Hop’s shield doggo can also deal good damage. Lycanroc helps out with his Leers and flinches, making for a very solid all-doggo team.
Vs. Kahili: EX Yamper / EX Mightyena / Lucario – https://pokemon-masters-stuff.github.io/#/team-builder/?id1=10012000000&e1=1&o1=738&g1=AAECAwQFERMUFRYXGBobHyEjJSY=&s1=3&id2=10020400000&e2=0&o2=750&g2=AAECAwQFBgcJCgsOERQlJikuLw==&s2=3&id3=10259000000&e3=0&o3=750&g3=AAECAwQFERMWGhscHyEkJikrLQ==&s3=3
Yamper’s comprehensive buffs, good gauge management tools, and great bulk and recovery mean that he can support more than one striker at once, and both Mightyena and Lucario take advantage of that here for an off-type clear. The former also has Insult to Injury to take advantage of Yamper’s defense debuffs.
Vs. Tapu Bulu: EX Yamper / EX Silvally / Houndoom – https://pokemon-masters-stuff.github.io/#/team-builder/?id1=10062000000&e1=0&o1=750&g1=AAECAwQFBh0eJSYnKCkqKywt&s1=5&id2=10119000000&e2=0&o2=750&g2=AAECAwQFBggLDhAVGBklLi8=&s2=5&id3=10259000000&e3=1&o3=738&g3=AAECAwQFERMWGRocHyYpKywt&s3=3
Silvally is basically Gladion’s doggo so this still fits with the secondary theme hahaha. Houndoom provides flinches, and Yamper’s Attack buffs and Defense debuffs mean that his Bites become quite strong.
Vs. Hala: EX Yamper / Granbull / Staraptor – https://pokemon-masters-stuff.github.io/#/team-builder/?id1=10159000000&e1=1&o1=738&g1=AAECAwQFBggLDQ8REhUaGxwfIyQlJig=&s1=2&id2=10034000000&e2=60&o2=30&g2=AAECAwQF&s2=5&id3=10259000000&e3=1&o3=738&g3=AAECAwQFERMWGRocHyYpKywt&s3=3
If I had Zacian I would’ve used it instead for this stage, but since I don’t I’m going with angry boi Granbull. Darach’s Attack debuffs accelerate Mina’s multipliers, and his evasion debuffs mean that Mina doesn’t have to worry about Play Rough’s misses.
Vs. Acerola: EX Yamper / EX Alolan Marowak / Snorlax – https://pokemon-masters-stuff.github.io/#/team-builder/?id1=10000800000&e1=1&o1=738&g1=AAECAwQFBgcJDA8TFBUXGhweISUnKA==&s1=2&id2=10259000000&e2=1&o2=738&g2=AAECAwQFBgcJCgsMDg8aHCUnKCkrLi8=&s2=3&id3=10149000000&e3=0&o3=750&g3=AAECAwQFBggKCw4QExQVFhcY&s3=3
DeNA gave Yamper Insult to Injury, which means that goodest boy was meant to strike. Luckily Electric-weak Acerola doesn’t have any defense buffs and is weak to physical moves, which means Yamper can fire off his super-powered Sparks. Both Alolan Marowak and Snorlax help him with their own defense debuffs, and Snorlax’s SE Up buff helps out a lot.
