I saw that **[Dysmantle](https://www.nintendo.com/store/products/dysmantle-switch/)** finally released for Switch today and had to try it, since this game is just perfect for handheld play.
To my surprise, the Switch version runs pretty well! 60fps target with occasional minor drops.
The game‘s premise is pretty simple.
You are faced with a big postapocalyptic open world full of enemies and objects to destroy (or dismantle).
Destroying something gives you XP as well as raw materials, used for crafting and upgrading gear. A higher level and better equipment then allows you to destroy even more types of objects and defeat stronger enemies.
It all starts very simple with only a few options and clear, easy goals. The more you play, the more complex it gets.
Progression in the world map is a bit Soulslike inspired. You save at discovered campfires and doing so respawns enemies. Though it is possible to permanently defeat enemies in an area as well later on.
It’s extremely addicting to bash every object and collect anything you might need to progress further. It’s also pretty chill in my opinion and a great game to play when you don’t want to concentrate too much.
The perfect game to play in handheld while the wife is occupying the TV for example.
Anyway, hope someone tries it and has as much fun as I‘m having.
