So I haven’t seen this talked about much on here yet. But according to DF, it seems like a good chance the new switch is launching next spring.

Nintendo just showed off a new trailer for botw, which talks about it being delayed to spring next year. Well digital foundry looked at it and said there is no way it’s running on switch. It’s using anti aliasing, much higher resolution, and has volumetric clouds. Among other changes that make it not viable to run on the current switch. So unless they rendered it on a pc, which they never have done before, it’s running on a new switch. Botw was the launch game for the og switch, so it makes sense. Given all the leaks on a new switch, and the timing, I can totally see next spring as a new switch launch.

Edit: To clarify, I’m not saying BOTW 2 won’t release on switch 1. Only that the version shown off in the trailer is most likely not running on switch 1. I would expect it to play out like BoTW 1 on Wii U and switch. Or say Horizon 2 on ps4 & ps5.
