I’ve never seen anyone talk about these curved joy cons. I picked these up about three years ago and haven’t had any problems with them. Maybe I got lucky but they are everything i pretty much want. Comfortable to hold, light, bigger buttons, gyro controls, Rumble and can be used pretty much the same way as regular joy cons (can’t wake the console up though). That’s a minor issue though and something I can live without. They can even be charged on the console and externally through a micro USB port, which is a nice feature.
If these are still manufactured they could be the answer to people wanting to buy third party alternatives to joy cons. I know I was annoyed when mine started to drift and these saved me from all the pain others here seem to go through lol.
