So… Were you guys super underwhelmed by that Splatoon 3 Direct as well?

I feel the [Splatoon 3 Direct that happened this morning](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aiuIZN0KDFQ) showed no new major innovations to the franchise, and 90% of it was just explaining the base mechanics of how Splatoon works without showing off anything actually interesting for people who’ve played the games before. It explained how Turf War works, how you can change your clothes, only 2 new weapon types, how Salmon Run works, a super uninteresting card game that nobody will probably ever play, and revealing the return to Splatfests. Am I insane or was this a total snoozefest for you guys as well?
I guess I understand explaining the fundamentals of Splatoon to newcomers, but for anyone who’s played the past games, there seems to be nothing really interesting going on with this new installment so far.
Maybe I went into this Direct with the wrong ideas, thinking they were going to show off something mindblowing and what was going to make Splatoon 3 unique, and maybe I was just wrong. For me at least, I’m excited for the game but I’m no longer expecting the game to change things up from the typical Splatoon fundamentals.
