I got the recommendation from some thread on Reddit, can’t remember where, and a few hours into it, it’s WAY better than Diablo and more replayable than other indie coops I’ve played. So much so that I want to sales pitch it to the rest of you that haven’t tried it if you are looking for a couch coop:
1. 9 Parchments’ beautiful backgrounds: Diablo’s visuals are both tiring and a downer after hours of gameplay.
2. 9 Parchments’ great skill trees: I’ve played tons of hours of Diablo, and it’s gear driven more than tree driven. 9 Parchments is tree driven, which means you are guaranteed to unlock significantly new builds/characters.
3. 9 Parchments’ friendly fire: Nearly all indie coops don’t punish you for lack of teamwork… 9 Parchments taunts you for it.
4. 9 Parchments: Easy of getting into the game. Just enough lore to be interesting but not a burden. Double sticks can be ignored until after you get into the game. Enemies scale in difficulty well. Fights offer array of strat, tactics, and build requirements.
There’s more, but anyway, check it out if you need a coop. I am really impressed.
