I’m away and can’t play it yet. Is it really 60fps like the trailers made it look like?

  2. DefiantCharacter

Any updates to the n64 emulator this time or just the newly added game?

  3. This is what they added? Kinda was hoping for the Mario party……

I mean plane games aren’t all that really scarce or original…..

Oh no I have a opinion! Better down vote it

60 FPS Pilotwings, gotta love it. I’m sure it was just easier to get it to run at that frame rate given the less than stellar emulator optimization, but screw it, this is awesome. Hope something similar happens for Banjo Tooie and Goldeneye.

Am I happy? Oh yea! Can’t wait to introduce my kids to this classic.

Edit: It’s so smooth!!!! Like made the experience much better!

    Pilotwings 64 isn’t a game I’ve played, but… wait 60fps?!?

To me the objective best thing to come from the Expansion Pass is finally putting N64 games on a system that isn’t N64. I’m surprised this is one of them that’s never been re-released.

I LOVE the SNES and 3DS Pilotwings games, but never played the N64 game. Spent the last hour and a half playing it for the first time and I’m really enjoying it so far! It’s everything I love about Pilotwings, a chill score-based experience, and I think it’s slowly rising up to be my favorite in the series, definitely above the 3DS one.

Cool I played that back in the day at a youth centre when I was young.

I will give credit where it is due. Pretty good job on this release. If only they gave this much care and attention to the rest of NSO.

  11. DuncanAndFriends

another game I haven’t heard about.

I would love Diddy Kong with mutiplayer support at 60 fps…thanks. I know MS owns Rare….but do it for the fans Nintendo/MS/Rare

This was my 3rd N64 game back in the day. Physics have aged wonderfully. It’s a launch game, so not graphically impressive at all, but the framerate is stable, even on real hardware. Character models are awful now. I’d still give it somewhere around a 7.5/10.

[Also, the hang glider theme is amazing.](https://youtu.be/qmZiF2muE74)

  14. This is gonna be the longest 8hr work day..

My wife is so excited, today is here birthday and this is her favorite N64 game next to Mario 64. I don’t really see the appeal, but she can’t wait to show me this game after work lol

That’s nice. Still not getting it until I can get an N64 switch controller.

  17. Cattango180

Anyone able to confirm if the trade center is still there?

  18. Pitiful-Cod-4394

Anyone on a family plan with vacant slots?

So I can’t outright buy this game, and my only option is to rent it for $50/year. No wonder people pirate all this shit.

Stick with the ‘Ps’ Nintendo and release Perfect Dark next! Ok ok…I’ll take Iggy’s Wreckin Balls instead…

  22. Creative-Support5584

How long until we get all the other n64 games that were announced?

  23. PepsiPerfect

Most vivid memory of this game was my mom coming in the room and saying “what are you watching?” when Robin says “Ohh yyeeeaah” in that porno voice.

As a person who grew up in the 1990’s to this game I have a soft spot for Pilot wings 64. This was a huge part of my childhood and I never imagined I would be able to play this classic again twenty six years later. I have no choice now but to upgrade my membership as soon as possible! The music alone was a fan favorite especially the hang glider score.

One of the best N64 games. Nintendo really needs to continue the Pilotwings series on the Switch!

I’ve been searching online for a good guide for this game. I’m really getting kind of frustrated with it. For example, I have no idea what it’s looking for with the picture of the flame from the smoke stack. And the stupid rings in the second part of the hang glider test. I just wish I knew what the game wanted from me. It feels a little oblique. But I want to give it a fair shot too before writing it off.

On the plus side, I figured that the combination of flaring and aiming your nose down is the key to a good hang glider landing. So you know, I’m not completely lost.

Hello to all the Pilotwings 64 fans on here!

This is still a fantastic game, and it’s been one of my most anticipated N64 titles alongside Wave Race 64. Goldeneye and Excitebike 64 are well anticipated also! However, with regard to Pilotwings…

Unless I am doing something incorrectly on the Switch online version, the flapping in Birdman is definitely not right/broken for me. I am unsure if the versions of the original N64 game for different regions varied at all, but I do not remember having to mash the button anywhere near as hard and rapidly in order to gain speed/height in Birdman mode. Can anyone else comment on this with their findings also? I have the original cartridge on the N64 (UK/EUROPE) and may test this later on to confirm.

Any feedback regarding this from you all would be much appreciated.
