It has always seemed kinda weird to me that there hasn’t been *any* kind of Call of Duty on Switch, given the install base and general attach rate. Like, even a super-trimmed down version or an older game or trying to get the mobile version running seems like it’d have to be worth the effort to at least try once. Especially since I’d guess for a lot of kids out there a Switch is their only option as far as consoles go.
Also, just a fun fact: Once it outsells the GB/GBC (if it hasn’t already), Switch will actually be the best-selling console to not have any Call of Duty game (it’s also already the best-selling console to not have a Madden game, which is another series I’m a bit surprised still hasn’t shown up in some form yet).

Not expecting the new cod at all but if they made a cod classic trilogy (1-3) Cod Modern Warfare trilogy collection, and black ops collection (mb waw-bo2) then I would be very happy. And I think especially the last 2 would be a slam dunk for activision and some easy money

COD was on the DS… the Nintendo DS. They just don’t want to port to the Switch at all.

It would have to be a cloud version. Maybe first steps for Xbox cloud on Switch. Everyone should want the streamed version anyways. Using half a terabyte of space on your portable console is crazy.

Release a classic WW2 CoD compilation for the Switch and I’d instabuy it. The original CoD, its expansion United Offensive, and Call of Duty 2 never got released on a Nintendo console. Call of Duty 3 and Call of Duty: World at War would run fine on the Switch. The spin-off games Call of Duty: Finest Hour and Call of Duty 2: Big Red One were massively popular on sixth generation consoles, but haven’t seen a re-release since. Include the online multiplayer for all these games and it would fill a niche gap in the Switch lineup while perfectly accommodating the Switch’s hardware limitations.
