I was browsing Noa’s YouTube channel, and I noticed that instead of simply being called “Nintendo”, it has been renamed to “Nintendo of America.” Also, it appears to have lost its verified badge. Why this sudden change? I used the Wayback Machine which confirmed to me that they did in fact change their name.
Channel URL: [Nintendo of America – YouTube](https://www.youtube.com/c/nintendo)

It makes sense that Nintendo would want to differentiate between NCL and NOA.
It’s likely just something that came down from a high up internal department related to consistent branding.
Possibly related to YouTube introducing a new name & handle policy for channels. Probably can’t be two @Nintendo’s
Perfect time to Announce the Switch Pro! Noone will believe them!
It was called that the whole time
What? 😐 😕 🫤
So?
renamed channels lose verification
Well, at least since it’s Nintendo they’ll get reverified very quickly, lol.
Direct confirmed
