I’m looking to buy a second more portable dock that I travel with and also to use to hook the Switch up to my computer monitor at home. Right now I’m between the [Genki Covert Dock](https://www.genkithings.com/products/covert-dock) and the [Skull & Co Jumpgate Dock](https://skullnco.com/products/jumpgate-for-nintendo-switch). They both reviewed very well but the Genki at $85 US before tax is a good amount more expensive than the Jumpgate at $50 US before tax (without the AC adapter) where I live. Anyone recommend one of these docks over the other? I also like that the Jumpgate can also be used as a USB hub for my laptop and phone.

Do these dock actually work or are we still cautious of them Bricking our Switch?
I dont have the Jumpgate but I do have the Genki, and I like it enough, small enough that it doesn’t take up too much space
Been using the Genki one as my only dock for nearly 2 years now, never had any problems. Maybe worth buying a stand to sit the switch up as well
I have a jumpgate oled model for my oled switch, but I use it more for my phone in Samsung DeX…
Works great!
We use our Genki often and haven’t noticed any issues. I don’t think bricking is an issue with this as they’re not trying to mimic the OEM dock USB-C plug.
Also, the Genki can be used for DEX with some phones. Not sure about the other one though.
I have both. Jumpgate failed me after 1 year and a month which put it over warranty. Covert dock is still rock solid.
Switch Dock Charger Adapter for… https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08QR5PTRP?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share this is the one I have and been using since August. I love it and have not had any problems. Plus it is $40
Genki Portable Dock + Satisfye Gaming Grip is perfect. You can stand the Switch up right and have the grip installed. The Satisfye gaming grip comes with a case too and it’s perfect.
That’s my perfect combo.
I have the Jumpgate dock for close to 2 years now, and it still works great. 👌🏼
I’ve brought the genki one. Although I’ve only used it once. Had a few issues getting it to work but I think the solution came down to the order you plug everything in. Worked perfectly fine after that.
I read that the OLED with third party docks the signal output 480p. It happens with these ones?
using the Jumpgate now, works well after 2 years.
