Some of the voice acting seems a bit…interesting.

Anyone played the original? Is this game worth trying

  3. Brigantius

I watched a quick preview at some point. Do characters always keep walking in their spot while in combat or was it some early build weirdness?

  4. So excited to play this for my first time. The Switch is draining my bank account but I’m okay with that. :p

People not being able to spell Ogre is giving me flashbacks to my childhood. Thanks for the nostalgia.

They’ve really made a *lot* of changes to this game aside from simply updating the graphics. [Check out this video](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I4cENIunBKk) for a comprehensive breakdown of changes/improvements. I’m pretty stoked as I was a huge fan of FF Tactics but somehow never actually played TO.

This looks dope and I’ve always wanted to play it, but are we joking with this price? $50 for a game that was on the super famicon and playstation? $29 would’ve been perfect, $40 acceptable but $50 is quite a bit.

    Hoping for a sale soon.

I’ve always wanted to play the original(s?) but never got around to it. I do adore FF Tactics on GBA though, and reading the comments here has me excited that I’ll love this too.

Part VII? What are the previous 6? Is that including the original 2 ogre battle games (not tactics) on snes and n64

I’m so excited for this. I’ve never actually played the original and love FFT and games like Fire Emblem. This is going to scratch an itch I’ve had for a long time!

  11. can’t wait for this one, played FFTA, love Disgaea but never played this one seems like ill get way over 200+ hours with this

  12. PonchoHobo

Hopefully the game is more successful than its initial release. 10/10 that will hopefully be followed by ff tactics soon enough.

I preferred Tactics, but I loved this game as a kid and played through it a bunch of times. Definitely looking forward to this

How would you compare this to Triangle Strategy? When I was a kid I was a huge Final Fantasy Tactics fan, but for some reason I couldn’t get that into Triangle Strategy (I haven’t played it in a while and forgot why I couldn’t get into it).

Guess I’m buying Tactics Ogre for the 3rd time now

I already have it on Playstation 1 and on PSP so time to add new remake on the Switch to the mix

Depending on sales of this game we could possible see a FFT HD remake like this. I would love to see FFT and FFT:Advance be remade in HD. Advance was just one of the greatest games of my youth. Great story and the Judge mechanic was a real fun twist to the strategy RPG.

I’m so excited for this game. I haven’t played the original, but I loved FFT back in the day.

  18. I’m so torn on what I should get first, this or the new God of War. And I also really want to get Shin Megami Tensei V. Dilemmas, dilemmas…

  19. cupukuru

This one is legend, I play it multiple times and never finish FFT

  20. I am as hyped for this game as I was for ActRaisser Renaissance, this is like living a second childhood.

For anyone here that likes FFT or enjoy Triangle Strategy, THIS is their grandfather, THIS is the game that cemmented that gameplay style, and as much as people likes FFT, this game es even better.

  21. AngelusAlvus

That’s the Syrim of tactics games. Make a new one instead!

  22. begselwalch

How does this compare in difficulty to FFT? Is it more difficult?

For anyone with a Discover card, check if you qualify for the discover cash back points promo on Amazon (google it) where if you spend at least 1 point on any qualified Amazon purchase, you get 40% off on the purchase to a max of a $50 discount. I preordered the game for $30 (excluding tax). The promo also applies for pre orders

  24. Reborn of remaster of remaster of an old game.

I will wait for 75% then reconsider since I still have my psp version.
