    Just don’t send gifts on the last day and instead invite to a raid. That counts for interactions right?

    Man I don’t get why people do that. I don’t play much anymore but I’d rather have an active friend to daily gift and raid with then cycling through a bunch of people for a small amount of Exp.

    Edit: While the 50k and 100k exp rewards are nice, I just feel like it’s not worth the hassle to try to track and sync for egg bonuses.

    I had one friend drop me before I could hit Ultra Friends with them. It’s so infuriating

    I get so attached to my pogo friends xD I have a limit of 100 and the only way they dissappear is if they delete me first but we been going strong for more than a year 🙂

    I’m seeing a lot of this and I wonder how frequent it is ?

    I added a bunch of people (from here even) and not a single one dropped me after the last gift immediatly, they usually wait a week or after an xp event. Even then, most don’t even delete me and keep sending gifts and raid invitations even tho we are best friends since a while ago, so maybe I’m lucky or doing something right I don’t notice ?

    This could actually be a trick.

    When you re-add them, you’ll get back the level and the exp.

    People do that so you will be able to drop a Lucky Egg (they do that before reaching max level) before re-adding them, so you’ll get double exp as well 🙂

    If you have a way to chat with this person, ask for it!

    Did they sent you again a friend request? Some folks do this, when they accidentally opened the gift. So by unfriending and sending you a friends request again, you will have the opportunity to refriend and decide when you want to get the xp. Maybe u want to use a lucky egg.
    I think u have a week or so to refriend and claim the xp.
    Pokedaxi on youtube explains this method. Just search for “58 tips pokedaxi”.

    If it’s not the case, then this sucks ofc.

    Well it worked for me the other day.
    But yeah it seems that’s the communication culture on reddit.

    I’ve never had this happen and suddenly, 2 in a row.. Could’ve already upgraded to next level and these aholes ruined the time and effort we put in them.

    Can’t even get myself to delete friends…

    I never send the last gift. Not risking losing that xp. I’ve got like 8 friends that are one day from best/ultra and they’ll stay like that until they send a gift.

    To put it bluntly: People suck.

    I would NEVER do this to a person. In fact I have kept all my “Best Friends” and still send them gifts whenever I can. I admit to sending upward of 50 gifts a day. And I am happy to do this.

    Ever since I learned it was a thing I always wait at least 24 hours before removing someone now for this reason alone

    This happened to me…but it was just taking a while to load. They didn’t unfriend me. It loaded after just waiting a bit.

    I have done this once myself. A friend of mine waited 8 months to open the gift to make us Ultra friends. Eventually they accepted a raid invite so I dropped a lucky egg in the raid waiting time, then removed them as a friend the moment we became Ultra friends. I understand waiting for a bit to sync up a lucky egg with others, but this was ridiculous in my opinion.

    I also have suffered this dilemma more times than I can tell you!! I change my strategy and if towards the 2-3 stages if the awards r not consistent then drop them!
    Also have you experienced when u r giving gifts ie 3 in a row!! How is this?? Can you actually control this?? Any one have a answer?? It has happened more than 2x !
