All of these are pretty positive and fair, and I’m most likely going to get this one, but the biggest issue I see doesn’t have to do with the gameplay or the world itself. The pop in of so many things while you’re running is just really off. Last I heard back in June this was an issue with the Hedgehog Engine 2, and frankly I am a bit baffled they decided to build the entire game on it with this pop in issue. Nonetheless, I’m very excited, this gameplay loop seems very fun, and I really think that this will turn out to be at the very least a good game. Hope it turns out amazing though. All the devs have seemed really excited about this, and I can definitely see why.
Are any of these previews including the Switch version?
Switch version will be brutal given there’s pop in on current gen. However I also wouldn’t be shocked if they tried to focus on Switch, as it’ll sell the most.

Imagine if they just gave sonic to a competent studio and made ONE good game. They could probably skate on that for at least the next decade.

Honestly tho.. How is Sonic still a thing? I played the first 3 when they came out in the 90s and they were great. Since then every game they release is absolutely dog sh!te with one or two exceptions. They fail at everything they do and the only thing that works is the old 2D games.

Steam deck will probably be as good as the ps5 versions. Switch third party ports “most of the time” are always ass.
I knew very little about this game walking into the IGN preview and I’ve got to say, it looks really dope! Should be plain fun just zooming around the islands.

From the footage i’ve seen from the Drirect gameplay it’s probably gonna play and look good/alright, i feel like people in here are being really hysterical over nothing lol
Everything I’ve seen suggests this will be a decent but not amazing game. As is the usually the case with the internet, seems there has been a major overreaction.
