This was a special bonus for the April Fools 2018 event and hasn’t returned since.

April Fools 2018, it was cool that day but got annoying as f**k when it was still on one week later

This was a ONE TIME THING Niantic released for April’s fools a few years back that the community have been asking to get as a permanent option you can turn On and Off but because Niantic doesn’t really care nor pays attention to the community we’ve never seen again 🙂
It’d be cool of it was toggleable. But, then Niantic would have to make some of the sprites, and do we really want that after what they did with Blanche?
They do that for April fools. Unfortunately It cannot stay that way.

If allot of people didn’t complain that the pokemon were unrecognizable, we probably could of still had them or at least an option to toggle between the two (which is what I hoped would have happened).
