As much as I am a Nintendo fan, I… will congratulate God of War Ragnarok if it wins.
You have to give credit to Sony Santa Monica for humanizing Kratos and revamp the series 😉 The producer, Cory Barlog, CRIED on Twitter when the first game got high reviews. I have yet to see someone else being touched this much that the industry ^_^

Great time to remind people of Sakurai’s words on game awards:
“Raising one thing up doesn’t mean bringing everything around it down in the process. I think its better to view [game awards] as an opportunity to spread happiness”
So just remember that even if your choices in any award category don’t win, that doesn’t mean they aren’t valid and awesome. We can just appreciate that there are other awesome games too and share the joy.
Too bad it’ll probably lose to something stupid… but that’s the game awards for you. Every once in a while something of quality wins, but it happens distressing infrequently…

I am just so happy seeing Xenoblade 3 getting the recognition it deserves. It wont win, we know it but seeing this gem being nominated makes so happy.
Monolith Soft deserves it, my vote irregardless of the outcme.

Perhaps a hot take but it doesn’t deserve it. The games story was wonderful, it looks good, I love the characters.
But the combat got boring within 15 hours, the area design was not very interesting and the soundtrack (mainly the battle and area themes? was not memorable. As a game, I don’t think it was all that amazing.
It’s more digestible than Xenoblade 2 but a step down in many aspects.
Wow. Monolith Soft did this and a lot of work with Breath of the Wild, a GOTY winner. They have been on a role lately.
At least Nintendo got *some* recognition outside of the ‘family’ category. Not even Bayonetta or Splatoon for best soundtrack?
Elden Ring is one of those games that is like a full decade ahead of it’s time. There is no possible competition.
